First time in quite a few years I've had to worry about day light savings time (and by worry, I mean make sure my clocks were right).
Another reminder that I don't live in Hawaii anymore. Also the surprise cold and rainy day that spoiled my idea of walking a few miles outside. I had to settle for the treadmill.
I fly home 2 weeks from Tuesday.
Which means my first quarter of grad school will be FINISHED! Still so far to go though.
I get over a month off and I am absolutely ecstatic! I get to have a whole month with friends and family and the holidays in the northwest.
Christmas time with Darrin is something that I have always wanted to experience. I think that has much to do with our timing in the past. Always seemed to fizzle by Thanksgiving. I've got much higher hopes for this time around :)
I'm so ready to be home already. Now that my flight is booked it's just a countdown until I can get back home. I still have so much schoolwork over these next few weeks. Really not looking forward to it because my brain feels like it's already gone on holiday-vacation mode. It's ducked out 2 weeks early.
If I can just get this research proposal finished... the finals are doable and don't take too much stress and they're over quickly.
My flight is booked about 4 hours after my last final.
I guess I'm a little excited to get home. :)
