Graduation was somewhat disappointing, but semi-fun in the meantime. The speaker was old and somewhat boring, though one would have thought she had amazing potential due to her long and amazing resume (including work with the UN Council on Women). Regardless, it was amazing to walk, and I managed to keep myself from tripping on my own feet the entire time I was on stage. I tripped afterward, but that's beside the point. We all knew it was going to happen...I'm physically flighty :) My father surprised me! He was able to get leave from his detail in Iraq to see me graduate...it was even more amazing because it was the military which kept him from seeing my high school graduation. FINALLY! He'll be back in October.
I've spent the last two weekends down in Mass. helping Jay and his family pack up his grandparents' house. It was nice to be able to help them with whatever I could...even if at times all I could do was make grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch! It was great to get to know Jay's family more; they're really nice people, and I'm a lot less nervous now. I'm going down again this weekend for the service and to help with the rest of the house. I hope that everyone will be alright.
The Heathers (BOTH of them!!!) and Shelly are coming up to NH soon, and I'm sooooooo friggin' excited!
