happy new year
Well, I hope everyone had a great holiday. i had some pretty harsh Christmas blues, but they are gone now. That's the first time that's ever happened - very strange. Maybe it's just been too long since i've been home but it just never really feels like Christmas here. Jake got WAY too many toys, a few clothes and a little money so he was set. Damarys got me a pair of jeans - woo hoo, now i'm up to 3 that I actually wear! My mom got me the crochet a day calander and a lady bug back massager, Jake got me a pair of jingle bell earrings, the Fondrens got me Breakfast at Tiffanys, Serenity, a couple shirts, the Carrie Underwood cd and a set of knives. Travis let me get the cat. Daddy sent fudge (peanut butter, no nuts) of which I still have like 6 pounds in my fridge. Nanny sent me my Waddington calander. We also got some money which is good - we're savin up to build an extension on the house. I think we're gonna start around V-day pouring the concrete.
I have 2 crochet commissions from Sue (the temp at work) for a dress for her granddaughter and sweater vest for her grandson. I'm about 1/3 done with the dress, and am waiting on the pattern for the sweater vest (*ahem, Tracie... dont forget about me). I also got some tan chenille from ebay that i'm making a afghan with - it's SOOOOO soft! Bit of a pain in the ass to work with, but worth the trouble.
