So I've been exercising regularly since February 28th, and it seems to be making a difference. I think I may have lost a little weight, but I haven't been keeping track of that. More importantly, I'm feeling better about myself. Work isn't making me very happy right now, so the morale boost of getting out and jogging is helping me stay sane.
Today I managed a five-mile run for the first time in my life. Even better, I ran it at a reasonably fast (for me) pace - 50 minutes. I don't feel particularly bad - nothing's sore (yet) and I can breathe fine. I am pleased.
Now I just need to keep up that level of fitness through the 28th. Ideally, I'd like to be able to run a full 10k before the end of April, but I don't know if that'll come to pass.
So, then. Yay me.
