When it comes to recycling, a growing number of Peel Region residents have a hard time determining what materials go into the blue bin and what items should stay out.

As such, region waste management officials have asked councillors to consider launching a campaign to reeducate homeowners on appropriate trash etiquette.

A lot of the problem IS the education that the Region of Peel has right now.
In the Waste Management pamphlet, it seems a lot of items are listed as both recyclable and not recyclable; the main thing that comes to mind is "Food Packaging"...
About 90% of what I recycle comes from food packaging... But the pamphlet says "Plastic Food Wrappers" or something to that nature are NOT allowed. Do they mean cellophane? Or anything that has come into contact with food? Or what?
Apart from that; I do my best to put the proper things in the recycling bin and the compost bin.
