Old news, new place

When my friend and I first signed on to the Brampton community a while back there was, as always, talk that there was nothing to do here. I remember somebody suggested just choosing a place and gradually changing it's clientelle to 20 somethings so that there'd be a place to go that wasn't filled with ignorant youth or loud mouthed, empty headed, irritable members of the dissastified suburban proletariate. I doubt this would ever actually fly, but I thought it was a cool idea.

Anyway, my point (if I have one) is that there is some recent effort being made to improve the downtown area of Brampton, like the improvements on the Rose Theatre. There is also, recently opened, a nice little coffee shop called Coffee Culture or something to that effect. It's just off the Four Corners, behind the TD Bank. It's a nice place and makes a change from Starbucks, Second Cup, and Tim Hortons.

Now I'm not actually suggesting anyone try to set in motion the idea I mentioned above. Hell I have a tough enough time getting close friends to meet at a set place at a set time for a common purpose, I can't imagine I'd have any more luck with complete strangers. I just wanted to make an effort to point out this place because if enough people start going it might attract some other small franchises and businesses that aren't just more of the same. I don't hold any high hopes of Brampton ever being a happening place to live, no matter how many new coffe shops they add, but a choice between more than the usual two or three coffee shops might at least make it a little more interesting.

I just thought I'd metion it.
