Dixon sprouted his first tooth yesterday, at 7 months, 6 days.
Samuel didn't sprout his first tooth until his 10-monthsday, and took another month to sprout tooth #2.
Funny, the differences.
Dixon is sitting up very well, although he still tips over occasionally, and wails when he does so. He's a very emotional fellow. He's not crawling yet, but gets around by rolling and scootching - mostly backward, sideways, or in circles. Forward locomotion is still a challenge for him.
Another challenge is food. He's still got a bit of tongue thrust, so spoon feeding him doesn't yield much success. I wonder how long it will take? We discovered that he likes mashed potatoes, fed to him on our fingertips; and he adores bananas. That doesn't make a meal, though. For now, we're mixing my milk with cereal and baby food or pureed fruit, and he's sucking it down from a sippy cup.
We bought a second booster seat, so we can all sit together at the table for meals. Until now, we've been setting Dixon in his little seat on the floor, but then the poor kid gets a crick in his neck from looking up at us. Now he can sit up high, like a big boy.
Speaking of big boy, he weighs over 20 lbs. Samuel, who I call the Little Big Brother, only weighs 26 lbs. Dixon's wearing 12 mos and some 18 mos sized clothing, while we're still belting and pinning Samuel into 2Ts. I think our inexpensive days of Hand-me-downs are going to be severely limited.
