(got) a dream at twenty threeayyaaeee
well, last night was the spotlight live / sirius tori show on broadway. the place was tiny-- just a two story bar basically. really cool design, but there weren't more than 300 people there, and joey and i were front row center of course! literally 15 feet away from tori's wide open legs all night.
it was SO lovely. she played bouncing off clouds (intro) velvet revolution, beauty of speed, almost rosey, father's son... maybe there were more, i can't remember. the whole thing was just so nice and i got some lovely eyes from tori, which i love love love. almost rosey and beauty of speed have really grown on me in the past few weeks (i've had the album for about 2 or 3 weeks now), and they feel kinda old school tori. not that that really means anything since my musical taste has changed a lot, but i'll probably always love what tori does more or less.
i wore a black strapless silk dress from banana repub that was originally 200 dolla and i got it on markdown for 49.99! hot.
i would have killed for experiences like this when i was younger. this kinda stuff has been so fun for me. i don't even know how many T shows i have been to at this point, and was trying to count how many times i've sat front row and couldn't remember either. it's cool because it's one of the only things that is always as exciting as it was the first time. it's so surreal sitting 15 feet away from the bosey, that piano which has been playing in the background of my life for the past... 12 years. nuts.
