Breathing & Sherlock

There is much good to be said for  being able to breathe without pain.   Starting on the drive down to my mom's last Tuesday I got a pain in my chest...not heart-attack kind of pain, but more pulled muscle or pleurisy type pain.   Not all the time, but consistent enough that I was taking little huffing breaths rather than the nice deep expand your chest and actually oxygenate some blood and feed your brain breaths.  There were some contortions I could get into where I COULD take deep breaths, (like a cat arching it's back) but mostly I made do with those stuttering ones that were extremely painful like someone was knifing me through my left boob.  Unpleasant to say the least.

Like an idiot, I toughed it out and didn't take any  super-duper painpills that I carry religiously in case my back flares up.   And by Saturday it was feeling better.  Still stabbing pain, but I could breathe pretty much normally most of the time.   Today I am enjoying being able to yawn and stretch and take deep breaths without pain, YAY!!!   Which is a good thing because my mom and I hauled a mountain of tree limbs into the front yard for Jim to chop up for firewood for this winter :-)    Also, I have an MRI and Sleep Test scheduled for next week and I wasn't looking forward to rescheduling either of them since I was not able to lay on my back.

Watching BBC's Sherlock is a blast!!!   Mom and I have had fun with our "Hey, I was there's" as Sherlock and John solve cases in greater London.
