well, as always i appreciate your opinion Jason. There always are two sides. Like the other side that maybe we bombed the hell out of their country, and innocent iraqi's that were doing such innocent and similar things as communication installation were killed by us. They can see us as evil as we see them.

The whole 'dont like this country, go live with the french' mantra. Such a tired old cliche. Im not just sitting around, silly. Im getting very heavily involved in moving a new president into The White House. It is not unAmerican to disagree with a president. Im sure you did it for eight years straight. You feel so strongly about obliterating them, please enlist. I have faith that you would leave the camera at home.

Dammit i hate it war supporters constantly and falsely assume that because someone like me doesnt support a war, that someone like me doesnt support our troops. I have a couple very dear friends over in the gulf. I worry about them every day. Scared shitless cuz I dont want to see my friend Zach's detatched head in the grip of a crazy off Iraqi. If he isnt over there, his head certainly wont become cut off and in the hands of an Iraqi. i would rather have him here at home in Snohomish County. i feel more vulnerable than ever with our troops over there. We have been showed what our enemies are capable of doing in this country, and to our people abroad. Pissing those same people off by what were doing now makes us even more of a target of retaliation. And there is nothing off limits in their retaliation toward us, as illustrated today.

Oh please, far more innocent Iraqis were murdered, tortured, raped, and mutilated under Saddam throughout his 30 year reign than were killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Pacificism kills far more than war, Brandon. It's been responsible for the deaths of well over 50 million people in the last century as other stood by, said "sorry, not my problem" and went about their business.

I know we disagree on the war. But as I said, these people don't care about whether or not we invaded Iraq. They've wanted us dead long before then, and if we weren't there, they would be making the attempts to kill us here in the states. And while I worry about my friends that are over there, and my best friend that will be going over there in August, I'm thankful that they're willing to confront the problem far from here.

Now, while I will respect your opinion against the war, I cannot in any way imaginable believe that you would try to turn this into a political blame game. A man had his fricken head sawed off with a knife and all you can think of is how you can spin it to a pro-John Kerry advertisement. That's fucked up and just plain sick.

i understand that a man had his fricken head sawed off. Im wide awake right now because i cant get the image out of my head. I maybe never should have watched it.

I dont mean to be insensitive that was not my intention at all. I dont want anyone to think that. Bad timing i can admit to. But, (and i understand that we differ in these beliefs) if you believe very strongly that we are doing the wrong thing in being over there, and then an American is killed in such a barberic fashion, and you believe it has everything to do with a war that you dont believe in, while you cry your eyes out in sorrow for his family, you also question the decisions your country is making. It is very easy for it to become political. I cant imagine it honestly not being political. It is political for you because you now probably feel we should continue forward even further, and it is political for me because i think we should do the exact opposite. perhaps i should not have posted my feelings in order to avoid such strong emotions back and forth, but my own strong emotions about this today led me to this post.

again, i appreciate reading your perspective. gnite.
