obligatory Dragon*Con post

So like, maybe I should make a post about Dragon*Con before I forget what happened, hmm :D

Well, all in all it was a pretty good year. Friday we got badges, I actually went to 3 panels that I was thinking of going to. Matthew Lewis (Neville) was so funny and cute. Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) was even better, he sang! And I had to get in the lone Babylon 5 panel of the year (of course) with Jerry Doyle and Walter Koenig. Boy that Doyle is a character. I almost want to check out his radio show (except, I hate talk radio). Then, I dunno, stuff, probably back to the room for my evening shower and nap. Then I dragged my ass out of bed and attempted to play, dang, some board game (Arkham Horror?) that would have been awesome if I wasn't so sleepy. Then I get dressed up and roamed about a bit, saw a bit of Voltaire (who was playing Star Trek songs I thought he saved those for the day wut?) then I guess I crashed out.

Saturday, watched the parade from the room - not the best view really - saw a panel with some webcomic folks (Pete Abrams - http://www.sluggy.com, Jennie Breeden - http://www.devilspanties.com, Kittyhawk - http://www.sgvy.com, Gina Biggs - http://www.strawberrycomics.com - haven't checked out that last one yet) /LINKSPAM Oh yeah, me an zshade got dressed up, let me know if you want to see pictures (or just pictures in general). Saw a panel with Avery Brooks, Michael Dorn, and Cirroc Lofton (all from Star Trek DS9). Oddly enough I went cause I wanted to see Worf, ya know, but he didn't say much. Not a bad panel tho. Then I dunno, hung around for a bit? I tried playing DnD, but that evening narcolepsy kicked in again (roll for initiative zzzzzz) (srsly) so I napped, then went out for a bit after that. Ran into lots of people, dunno if did anything but socialize. Got to catch up with Nelda's little brother, which was cool.

Sunday, hmm was going to go to a 10 am panel YEAH RIGHT, saw George Takei though which was awesome. Then a Sandman fan panel, eh on that one. (Me an sylkweb decided sock puppets would have been better, she doodled a Death sock puppet and I doodled a Delirium paper bag puppet. Yeh we were passing notes.) Then we hung out for a bit with her kid, but then I disappeared cause I wanted to see some of Brad Dourif. He had an awesome hat. Then, there was just hanging out for a while, and of course evening nap. I slept though all of the Masquerade pretty much (sorry I missed your party stigmund!) which it looked like I dint miss much(the Masquerade not the party!). then I went out an about. Was going to see the kilt blowing, but instead saw the mad scientist ball WHICH WAS FREAKIN AWESOME. They had the ArcAttack folks back with their singing tesla coils, a bar robot, blinkies, and general madness. So many folks came that they had to keep clearing the ballroom between sets. Which was actually a good idea. But man. We got in only to get cleared out :( we got right back in line!

Monday - we checked out and went home! Thats about it! I would have like to stay a little bit longer, but since I had to work that night anyway, meh.
So if anyone got to the bottom of this HAHAHA and you want to see my pictures, let me know an I will send you a flickr guest pass thingy. Comments will be screened! So that you can leave your most current and checkable email addy.
