Give me a [pun]

So, you know what sucks? Heading off to work in the morning only to discover that your brakes don't work.

Fortunately, nobody died and no property was damaged. I was able to (slowly) drive to the local mechanic and drop it off, but unfortunately I missed work. Fortunately, half the class I was supposed to caption today was a test (meaning, no captioning actually taking place), so my teammate was able to cover for me. Although, at about 11:00 I remembered that dad left me the key to his truck (the folks are on vacation this week) so I could have theoretically made it to class without my car. Whoops. I also ended up walking back home from the auto place with my bag o' laptops hanging from my shoulder, which was stupid because I probably could have asked them for a ride back home. I present this morning's debacle as proof that I am not a morning person. Clearly my brain does not work properly before 10AM.

They haven't called me back yet, which is a little odd since they said they were going to take a look at my car this afternoon. I might call them tomorrow morning, make sure I gave them the right number. I really need to memorize my cell phone number now that we don't have a land line at the house anymore.

Oh well. At least I've got the truck so I can get to work tomorrow.

Sarah came by this afternoon and we watched the terrible and fantastic sci-fi classic Soylent Green. That movie is so very 70's. Definitely put a smile on my face.

Forgive me, livejournal, for I have sinned. It has been 4 months since my last entry. Many things have happened since then, but I've been too lazy to chronicle them. Whatchu gon' do 'bout it? Huh? HUH!?
