GEE I WONDER ♥ also lemme know if this isn't enough to go off ofshiningmagicaOctober 5 2011, 21:16:01 UTC
[It's patrol time again, which means wandering around the city with her soul gem out, waiting for something. Poniko is used to the routine by now; it glows and it begins to pull at her, and that's where the witch is.
As of late, they've been lurking in more...unusual places. Yesterday the entrance to one's barrier was right through a dumpster, and she's caught a few around apartment complexes and malls. Have they been interested in finding more humans as of late?
Regardless, it's her duty to take care of them anyway, and so up and down and across the city she goes, because there are witches to be found and asses to be kicked.]
demands fulfilled, IT'S TERRITORY FIGHT TIMEshiningmagicaOctober 8 2011, 17:53:53 UTC
[It's patrol time again. And honestly, patrols suck. Poniko would be quite content if, for the rest of her life, the witches would just come to her. But no, things are never that easy, and so she is out and about with her soul gem in her hand, following its pull.
But she's feeling something...different. It's a familiar sort of power, without a doubt, but it doesn't have the same malevolence a witch's presence would bring.
Poniko freezes when it hits her. It's another soul gem.
She can't remember the last time there was another Puella Magi in the area-she felt another soul gem once, a long time ago, but its owner seemed to have just disappeared. But this one is so much nearer...
This is her territory, though. And she isn't going to let anyone invade it. Sharing grief seeds? There can't be enough to go around.
The girl sighs and holds her soul gem out in front of her. This time, she could care less about the witches-there's another Magi to find.]
LET'S DO THIS. *chugs energy drink*dreamingmagicaOctober 8 2011, 18:16:06 UTC
[ Grief Seeds have become harder to come part in her area of Mitakihara. It was getting to the point where relying on her small stock of emergency Grief Seeds wasn't cutting it. She'd only dared to use each one three times before feeding them to Kyuubey, for fear of reviving the witch that it had once been a part of. And the wait between battles didn't help the slow darkening of her Soul Gem.
So Madotsuki had taken a risk and wandered into a section of Mitakihara outside her territory. She knew there was another Puella Magi here, she could feel the gentle pull of her Soul Gem but with any luck, she'd manage to grab a few Grief Seeds before having to fight for her life. Puellae Magi were a territorial sort. Well, the others were; Madotsuki wasn't the confrontational type. She'd been forced out of her territory several times, only returning when the other Puellae Magi vanished.
There. A Witch's barrier, in the alley. Hesitating, she peeked into the darkened alley, entire body tensed up. ]
WE'RE MAKING THIS HAPPENshiningmagicaOctober 8 2011, 18:56:18 UTC
[There, that way. Poniko felt a witch but brushed it off. There was enough light in her soul gem, it could wait. It took her a moment, though, to realize that the pull of the witch's strength and the uneasy sense of the other soul gem were coming from the same place.
The last place she wanted to be starting conflict was inside the barrier itself; too many variables, too many chances to mess up. She would if she had to, but ideally she would just be able to find the other Magi outside it. But she'd have to act fast, and so Poniko sprinted after the power's pull.
And there she was. Even if she didn't look the part-brown hair, braided pigtails, staring into the alleyway that was definitely the door to the witch's barrier like a squirrel looking up at an incoming car-that was without a doubt where the energy was coming from.
No problem.]
Hey!
[Poniko bolted forward once she caught the other girl's attention and sidestepped her way in front of the brunette, blocking her way into the alley. But she smiled brightly as she did so, if
