nothing less meaningless.
i recall the first time seeing this much blood to be terrorfying. the color was bright red representing nothing less than an emergency, the smell was of death. now it had little if no affect on me. even the color looked a dull and bored red. i had changed since the so-called start of the war, or at least adapted to the sight of this unjustified and indiscriminate horror.
