So Laine told me about the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds coming to Seattle. And can I just say "HELL YES I'M THERE!!!"? I've waited so freaking long for some kind of Final Fantasy tour to come to Seattle. And I'm very excited that the Seattle Symphony is hosting it. I'm trying very hard to get some members the Federal Way Symphony to go to the concert. It's pisses me off so much that our conductor is such a narrow minded fool who doesn't want to play any contemporary music. And you're an idiot if you think that you can continue to survive by not tapping the younger people living in the area. The old people are going to die sooner or later.
One of our new board members had an awesome idea to have a halloween concert with spooky music, playing stuff like night on bald mountain and some other "classical" works. Of course the conductor ridiculed the idea. I personally think it's an awesome idea. I would be stoked to hear someone play The Devil's Trill Sonata--one of THE hardest pieces to play on violin. Seriously. If you hear someone play it, I guarantee you will be standing on your feet in applause and your jaw will be on the floor. Technically difficult is an understatement.
But anyway, getting back to the original subject, the good news is that I MIGHT be able to possibly finagle some tickets either to the FF concert itself or to the meet and greet with Nobuo (it costs $100 in addition to the ticket price). That's a big "might", but we can cross our fingers and hope right? Please tell me this job can get me an "in" to meet Nobuo .... please?
