Oh, I love that. And as far as Long stretches between WIP updates, have no fear, my wip's seem to average at about two to six months between updates, even when I sometimes update three to five times a week.
That may have something to do with having 20 Wip's as well, but I'm trying to run for the role of Wip queen.
Btw, I really loved this Daniel's critical analysis of his own behavior. Beautifully done.
When I kissed him, it took him about three seconds to give in. Then he put his hands on me. His tongue in my mouth. Amazing. Unlike anything I can ever remember doing. When I licked the skin on his throat he made the most incredible noises.
Daniel shoved the notebook away and shut his eyes tightly. His face felt hot with humiliation, but his fingers tingled and his toes curled, as if his body still had the sensory memory of the kisses and touches he had so palely described to himself on the lined pages.
*flails* *dies of the hotness* How could anyone live with forgetting that?!?!?!
Hell, he didn't kiss women he'd known for just one day.
It takes two days before he'll kiss. But marriage, OTOH... ;-)
He was holding the picture from Jack's cookout, not looking at it at the moment, just holding it like a precious thing.

So glad you updated, this story is getting better with each chapter. Loved the bit about the ripped pages; my eyes were wet as I read the entry Daniel added to explain them. The scene in the bed when Jack apologises is heart-breaking. Can't wait for the next part.
Just wondering: will Budge ever be mentioned again? It seemed to be so important in the first chapter, then it was completely dismissed...
Dadgummit! Quit reading attentively! :D I had great plans for Budge as an important piece of evidence to convince Daniel that Jack and Sam were friends. Then I was writing the next chapter and it *totally* didn't hold water, so I wrote it out completely. Then I forgot about Budge, til I was getting ready to post this chapter and thought, hmmm, it's been so long, perhaps I should go back and reread this thing to be sure I haven't done something completely idiotic with my own plot, and I came across that section about Jack and Budge... *sigh* THIS is the reason not to post a story when you don't have the whole thing more or less written out in your head from start to finish...
ANYWAY! I'm so pleased that you are liking it! Good to know I am achieving an acceptable level of trauma! :)
