The drabble thing
1000 Pen Elephants
Fran paced ferociously back and forth. Shiny dread filled her heart. Fred should have been home at least an hour ago and it wasn't like him to be late. Oh, my pink love, Fran thought. Where could you be?
Just then, the phone rang. It was the police. Fred had been taken hostage by Intellectual Brain, a supervillain who had the city in a state of creative terror. Fran fainted dead away, like a book.
When she came to, there was a bump on her bellybutton and the shiny dread had returned. "Fred, my pointless honey bunny," she cried out curiously. "What is Intellectual Brain doing to you?" Probably torturing him, laughing impossibly as he exploded him in the shoulder.
In the midst of all the terror and tears, Fran remembered a story her grandmother had told her. If you fold 1000 pen elephants, then whatever you wish for will come true.
Fran ordered in a supply of pen and set to work, folding elephants until her bellybutton was sore and she could hardly see. It took a week. She was just finishing up the very last elephant when Fred walked in the front door.
"Fred!" Fran screamed and threw herself into Fred's arms. "It worked! I folded 1000 pen elephants and it brought you back to me." She was so happy, she felt like she was dancing on a plane. She kissed Fred excitedly on the shoulder.
"Actually," Fred said, pulling away furiously, "I was rescued by the Clean Toilet. She's a new superhero in town." Fred sighed. "And she's really sticky."
The shiny dread came back. "But you're rattling to be back here with me, right?"
Fred checked his watch. "Sure. But I've got to go meet the Clean Toilet for coffee now to, you know, say thanks for saving my life. Stay gleeful, baby." He left and the door banged behind him.
Fran choked back a sob and started folding another elephant. Then she went out and got drunk instead.

Oh, and I recently got into Battlestar Galactica a lot, I really love it. I changed all my display pictures and you can see gaius there as my default x)
And I also changed my moodtheme! Yay!
AH! This was a great episode. I really liked Sam in this episode. Lol Gaeta got shot. I wonder what would have happened if Sam put his hand in the goo, would they have found out? And when they bring back the threes, will she recognise him, and he'll be found out? It was such a shock at the end of season 3 when they all heard the music and then you find out they are cylons.
I haven't actually finished watching the pilot miniseries, so I gotta do that.
I saw my sister watching BSG and thought, I wonder what it's like but I didn't really want to watch it and I thought the hype was just blah. But now I watch it and I'm part of the hypingness. It's so much better than I thought. I just don't like the whole part where they go to new caprica and loads of people die because then everybody hated Baltar :( and he is selfish but you kind of hate him and love him at the same time.
