When I look at my livejournal, I can't help but feel slightly guilty about how rarely I post significant and interesting thoughts, and, when I do post, how bad the quality of them is.
Haha, I like talking in that way. Or typing. It feels nice to read over it all.
Well today, Christmas day, I drewww mostly for the whole day. On one picture D:
(
I'm not sure )
You know, I really have a hard time sticking with my ideas too, but usually as soon as the idea comes to me I'll just start writing if I can (sometimes the words don't flow as well as other times. Those are the times I waste hours staring stupidly at a blank screen or rereading the same lame sentence fifty-million times). Sometimes I'll just write until the idea runs out and a lot of times the next day I'll reread what I wrote and it will sound like a bunch of crap... but other times it will turn into something. Now, like I said, I have a hard time sticking with anything and I'll jump from idea to idea. I have a lot of unfinished stuff hanging around in my documents because of that, but at least it's practice and when you go with something when it's fresh in your mind a lot of times it'll be easier to get the words out. And it doesn't have to be perfect right away. All writers have to go back and edit their writing billions of times before it's good and then on top of that they have editors and critique groups helping them out too.
I don't want to sound like I'm trying to be an expert because, believe me, I'm not. I just love to write so I just plunge into it. If you wanna write a full-blown story you could just try scribbling a whole bunch of ideas on a paper and go with whatever sounds like it'd be interesting.... Just don't give up or get discouraged because you think your writing or ideas aren't good enough. Also, a lot of times reading someone else’s stories will inspire me, but it'll also make me feel kind of like I'll never be that good (I'll feel totally sulky and depressed really); don't let that make you wanna give up either because those writers probably had to practice I whole lot before they got that good (at least that's what I tell myself when I'm all depressed). Writing takes practice just like everything else. I know because it took me a lot of practice to get my stories even halfway decent (and I’m not even sure if they’ve reached that point yet) and if you could only read some of the stuff I've written you would be appalled at how truly horrible it is.
So, anyway, there's your super-huge-rambling-ramble-comment! I'm sorry it's so long and I really am not trying to sounds like an expert. I bet you'd be a really good writer! If your writing is anything like your art, it would be incredible! I'd love to read some of your stuff when ever you write something.
Oh, and if ever you wanna do an art-trade... I'd love to do one.... ^_^
