Feelin' much better. I spent the weekend being lazy after working out every weekday last week. And then I went into karate and was all stiff. Ah well
I had boarders this weekend, and we had 2 dachsunds and a dachsund/beagle mix (that guy was a real winner). It was great. Really. I enjoy having to count my fingers after putting the little shit back into its cage. What worthless dogs.
I looked at the day's schedule this morning and I saw "GOTTI" at 3. The reason for the visit - "AGRESSIVE dog. Animal control will be bringing in for rabies and microchip". Well that certainly sounded exciting. Three o'clock rolls in, and two animal control officers show up. The dog was a pit bull and apparently the dog's owner was going to court over the dog possibly being labeled a vicious dog and she wanted to get it vaccinated and microchipped so it would look good in front of the court. Animal control didn't trust her with the dog, so they agreed to bring it in.
They both went out to get the dog, and each one of them put a rabies pole on the dog. That's two rabies poles on one dog. They went into a room with him, and Dr. Fink wanted me to help him. He had the officers hold the dog so it couldn't whip around on it, and then he said to me, I'm gonna grab his back leg and hand it to you.
What?
I don't think he heard me, because as soon as he said it, he was down there grabbing the dog's leg. And sure enough, he handed it to me. At this point the dog had become unhappy and was snarling, chewing on the poles, and starting to pee.
Okay, now grab his other back leg
Uh, okay. I grabbed the leg and the dog started to twist, continued to snarl and bite, pooped, and really let loose with the pee. He was twisting and turning and really hosed the exam room down. I narrowly avoided getting a golden shower. :x
Well, that was exciting.
Oh, for the next two days, I work till 6, but after that, my time off kicks in! From Thanksgiving till Dec. 6. MUAHAHA.
