Brainbin's Back... All Right!
Here I am again. This time I mean it! After a couple of abortive attempts (which I have since deleted), my Third Hiatus is finally over. It lasted almost five months - my longest to date - and it will hopefully be my last. I'm going to attempt writing in a somewhat more relaxed style, and even loosen my structure somewhat. For example, there won't be a Month-End Assessment at the end of this month, and probably not next month either. Of course, another Year-End Assessment will come at the end of December.
Given that my last post revealed my acceptance to University, it would be expected that I discuss my new life there - and I will, though in time and not all at once. (The prospect of discussing my entire University experience in just one post was enough to dissuade me from posting much earlier.) To start, I will say that I am loving University, and in many ways it is very different from high school, and refreshingly so, much like a tall glass of water after a five-year drought. Now, I loved high school, but I find that I'm not missing it nearly as much as I thought I would.
In this coming month of November, I will be participating in NaNoWriMo, for the first time. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can create when I force myself to, and I already have a rough story in mind. I'm trying to convince stonehilt, who has also returned from a hiatus (though not as long as mine), to join me on my undertaking, so we'll have to see how that goes. Those of the rest of you who are reading, please feel free to comment. Any advice or constructive criticism would be invaluable!
Well, this first post was surprisingly easy - hopefully it will be the first of many more to follow. Now to convince the rest of my friends list to get back into the LiveJournaling...
