People like my new computer way too much. Even more than I do, apparently. In 5 days since I've installed Windows 2000, I've removed no less than 3 viruses, and I can sit here and watch Zone Alarm and no more than 10 minutes go by without somebody sending packet sniffers to my IP address, seeing if there's a way in. Sometimes multiple attempts are made every minute. It's frickin overwhelming sometimes. I'm afraid to keep personal information on this computer now. I never remember having trouble like this on my old computer. In the three and a-half years that I owned it, I never caught one single virus. And now three in the first week I've owned this one. *sigh* It's a sad world we live in.
I'm completely worthless. Today was the one day I've had off since about 2 weeks, and I won't have another one off for at least another week, and what did I do? I slept. Of course, I have been working both jobs the past couple of days and was tired as a mother-fucker and really needed the rest, but I just feel so...un-accomplished, I guess. There's so many things that need to be done, and I don't have time for anything because all I ever do is work and sleep. I had kinda wanted to buy an Apple i-Pod today, but those plans got ruined...because I slept. Ah well, it's all my fault anyway. Nobody's really forcing me to work two jobs...other than the shitty American economy.
I've said it before, and I'll say it many more times. I really need to update the look of this damn journal. I've seen that Mana avatar so many times I'm gettin sick of it....as are many other people, I'll reckon.
Oh yeah, about my new computer: I've got a:
2.1 GHz Athlon XP processor
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe motherboard
nVidia GeForce FX 5200 Ultra graphics card
256 MB RAM (which I really should upgrade)
6 USB 2.0 ports and 1 Firewire port.
48x CD-RW/16x DVD-ROM combo drive (and I really want a DVD burner)
Altec Lansing 5.1 surround speakers
19-inch Samsung flat-CRT monitor
Not too bad of a setup.
