What is your Perfect Major?

Correa would be pleased. He's been trying to convince me that I'm going to major in English and become an english teacher. He's crazy. But perhaps more on target than I'd like to admit.

Wednesday, I went to the dentist, went to breakfast and went shopping for the ever elusive shirt to go with my new skirt.
Thursday, I went to piano, ate at Rockfish, saw Casanova and bought gin and tonic perfume and a potentially workable shirt, though quite expensive and fragile.
Friday, I tried on some shirts I have to see if I had anything to go with the skirt for every day wear, since that's the whole point of having the skirt, and found that I have a perfectly fine shirt already, meaning I spent 3 or 4 days of ridiculous shopping for nothing. I tried on the new shirt again, decided it was too delicate and that I would return it. I ate lunch at Bubba's, got an eclair and espresso chocolate chip cookie from Dough Monkey (but saved them for later), bought a slip for my skirt (because, under strong lighting, it was a tad transparent, which would be bad for a school related ceremony), went to a jewelry place on Lovers to buy a brown cord for a necklace, went to Tarte (a cupcake bar where you pick your cake, icing and icing mix-in), and played Star Wars monopoly with my mom while watching various old Bond movies.
Today, I have to clean some because we're having people over tonight. I should probably do the TAKS math packet too. And I need to go to Central Market to buy lovely drinks in bottles made with sugar and not corn syrup.

I'm having trouble picking and staying with a book. I'm almost finished with Macbeth, so I guess I should finish that. I've read about 30 pages of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I've read about 10 pages of The Stranger. I've read about 15 pages of Anguished English. I really want to read parts of the Oxford Dictionary of Allusions. There's not enough time for all this.

I wish I had gotten a Best Buy giftcard for Christmas. I have a thousand things to buy there and not much to buy at Blockbuster or Nordstroms.

There's a marathon of the $100,000 Pyramid on the Game Show network. My eyes will be glued to the screen. I like the show, but there's something compelling about watching a game show for hours, something mind numbing, yet stimulating, boring yet interesting... I'm transfixed...

Oh well. I must away. And not to the TV.
