Saturday night roast, as I saw a really nice leg of lamb on special at the butcher.
Made up a crust of black pepper, rock salt, lemon zest and juice, rosemary and garlic and browned it off on the stovetop as I'm not happy with the heat of the oven at this place.
Did baked potatoes, pumpkin and a little kumera, and glazed some dutch carrots in butter and honey.
Was pretty happy with the result, lamb was well and truly rare at the bone, but perfect, all of the flavours in the glaze came through nicely, will add some mint in next time.
Oh, and can't forget the panjuice gravy, forgive me arteries, for I have gorged.
edit: It just got better and better, huge perfect strawberries covered in belgian dark chocolate for dessert. Heaven.
