Long time no see Mr Journal... Live Journal. XD
It's been awhile since I posted an update.. so here goes.
Wednesday was the first Valentines Day in the last *counts on his fingers* 5 years where I wasn't with someone. It was also the day that I put in notice at Office Max telling them that I found another job. That whole process was very stressful for some reason. I hate doing things that might upset people, even when I strongly dislike them. But anyway, I start my new job at T-Mobile on the 20th so wish me good luck.
Speaking of valentines day, it didn't totally suck. Even though I was over charged for the flower I sent to Avarice(
wishingwolfy), and that he stayed home instead of going to work, and that they sent him the wrong colour flower, and my schedule at work was messed up, and that I got sick. But the bright side was that I got a gift from Flare. ^_^ He sent me some pictures he drew and a bunch of plushes. As well as some relaxation CDs (because I stress out so much), and his senior pictures. bwahaha new plushies, rawr.
Yes, I am unfortunately sick. A sad reality of working with the public is all of the germs they like to share with you. I have a nasty head cold and an infection in both of my ears. But thanks to the friendly nurse practitioner at Wal-Greens I am now on some heavy duty antibiotics and should be on my way to recovery.
Last Saturday was also my first run in with the local fur group, I went to their pre-valentines day party at Val's place in Independence Mo. The locals seem pretty nice. I didn't get to know any of them really well, but I was lucky to find that some people I knew were there. Most notably Eddie Canis (
eddiecanis), and Evil Andy (
evilrat). It had been a few years since I had seen either of those two, so it was nice to see them again. Also, there was another surprise that night. An old friend of mine has apparently moved here as well, Yama Inu (
yama_inu). I know him from way back when I used to be part of a yahoo group he was in. Seems like it was at least 4 years ago. We lost contact back when I was in St Louis I think. Oh well, I am really happy to see him again, and it's nice to have him as a friend again. So I guess i"m not so alone up here in KC as I thought I would be. 3 local friends and I haven't even been trying. :)
I guess that's it for now, I'll post another one once I start my new job.
