Yay for the number two seed! Who would have thought considering their horrible start to the season.

And yes, I agree its a mistake to expand the playoffs. It makes the regular season really MATTER when the stakes for finishing 1/2 include a bye. Home field advantage just isn't enough in a one and done format IMO.

It was a dreadful start! We're lucky to be the No. 2 seed now. :)

That's why the early games are just as important as late ones. If the Pats had one just one more game, they'd be the No. 1 seed because they beat the Broncos head-to-head.

Well, time to see what unfolds this year! And, Goodell, stop monkeying with a good thing with the NFL playoffs!

We got the 49ers game here but I was happy to see the Patriots killing on the score updates. Yay for the #2 seed! Who knew that the Colts winning could actually help us? ;)

Brady was apparently yelling at his team after last week's game too. Seems to have helped?

The Patriots have never won a Super Bowl without the bye, so a good omen!
We like good omens! And I heard that the last time the Patriots lost their home opener like they did this season was in 2001 and we all know how that season ended. And the Superbowl is in New Orleans again ... coincidence? I hope not.

Greed, of course, will make the owners expand the NFL playoffs, a mistake IMO.
Total mistake. And the players have more chance of risking injury. Goodell claims to care about player safety, but he clearly is only looking at the bottom line. Ugh. :\

I felt dirty rooting for the Colts. ;)

Tom was so disgusted with the Jacksonville game that he went off and it worked! He knows how to pick his spots. :)

People were talking about how their first Super Bowl win was on February 3rd and that's the date of this year's Super Bowl in New Orleans. Very good omens! :)

Goodell and the owners don't care diddly-squat about player safety, just getting sued by former players. Otherwise they wouldn't be pushing for expanding the regular season from 16 to 18 and now expanded playoffs. *rolls eyes*
