Wow, I can certainly understand why Jonathan has trouble accepting Bruce in Clark's life, but this --
but no doubt guilty of arrogance and other traits of men of his station.
-- is just prejudice. He must be arrogant because it's common for men of his station? Come on, Jonathan, you wouldn't accept people making gross generalizations about farmers, would you?
I can easily see Jonathan's point of view, but it seems like he's hoping to make Clark's years with Bruce not have happened. Like, "Oh that wasn't the real you," but in its way, it was.
Oh well, it's certainly interesting and it keeps the tension levels up! :-)

True! But Jonathan's thinking is colored by Bruce as Clark's Master, and his dislike of the rich in general. He's a populist at heart and isn't too keen on those born with silver spoons in their mouths. He'll learn. :)

In a way he's right: it wasn't completely the real Clark, but there was certainly enough of Clark to make his decisions now in the present sound.
Oh well, it's certainly interesting and it keeps the tension levels up! :-)Exactly! And frankly, I hadn't expected such resistance

Yes, Clark has a lot of decisions to make in the future. What he decides will affect both him and Bruce, of course.

Somehow, I think Jonathan is gonna be pretty disappointed. :(

You never know! :)
But Clark's heart is with Bruce. The question is, does that mean he stays with him or lives apart? Stay tuned! ;)
