This is a brilliant window into Dick's thoughts - you've grasped him really well, and it works just as well in any age. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you! I find Dick to be endlessly fascinating, and so it's easy to write him. I will probably be using earlier Age sensibility/characterization in contemporary settings, creating a universe of my own, so to speak, but you might see me set the boys in specific time periods that correspond with the pre-Crisis era. I already did that with Superman/Batman. :)

BTW, not only is your icon cool, but I love a person with 'demon' in their name! LOL!

Batman was in charge of the Batman/Robin partnership.

Dick was in charge of the Bruce/Dick partnership.

Even if Bruce didn’t always know it.

Oh ho, that's an interesting ending for the story, and I rather like it, although I'm no Bruce/Dick shipper. Your Dick is as bright (in both senses of the word) as Clark and as crafty as Bruce. :)

I thought that was a pretty good ending, too. :) You're right about Dick being bright and crafty! After all, he's had two wonderful mentors to mix in with his own smarts. I'm very glad you read the story even if you're not a Bruce/Dick shipper. That pleases me that you would do so. Thank you.

Very nice story. Intrigued by what you had to say about what age comics appealed to you. I don't mind a dark soul, as long as it is counterbalanced by enough upbeat attitude.

You did a good job as always!

Thank you, Due! I love the pre-Modern Era relationships. They had their disagreements and falling-outs, but all this distrust and suspicion in the M.E.! Can't we all just get along? :)

Thank you! I've always been fascinated by these two. Their relationship has so much in it to write about. They were made for fanfic! :)

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, there was the possibility of Clark/Dick here, because if Bruce was going to be stubborn...happily it all worked out in the end! Though I did write a specific Clark/Dick piece, "Bright Laughter", which can be found in the link of Batman/Robin fic (further up this page, left-hand column). :)
