You captured such a visual image here for me. The right colors, the right style, the perfect picture of a woman from that era in grief.
I'm glad I was able to capture it! It was such a different time as to what women wore when they left the house.
More perfection, given the dislike of facial hair through much of the twentieth century, something that still shows in military and commercial guidelines.
Yes, one of the biggest things during that era was hair: facial and length of it on the head!
Perfect. There is so little to do with a grieving, loving spouse. All the words, all the hallmark platitudes...I just love how Ollie knew nothing he could say would truly be of a comfort to her.
They say 'write what you know' which is one reason I do tend to dwell on angst. But you took this moment and made it something more, a sad piece, but one that clearly shows a move toward a transitory state for them both.
