Wonderful and amazing. As usual I love all of your little touches starting with the description of the wreath at the door. The food, the tree and the ornaments. The history behind them. You really bring this family to life.
I couldn't help but feel bad for lex even though he tried to be brave and actually be happy for them. When martha asked him to come and be part of the holiday celebration it was perfect he said yes. i was almost afraid he wouldn't. But the most perfect thing was Bruce and Clark taking the chance in the barn and wanting him. It was like Lex finally came home and things were like they should be.
This was a wonderful and lovely present honey! Thank you so much!!!

Thank you, hon! :)
It's all in the details. ;)

It was a close thing! But I had the scene in the barn in my head when I started writing this and wanted to soften Lex up a bit. :)

Yes! They knew they were incomplete without him. :)

Glad you liked it, sweetie! And me_ya_ri gave me permission to take that icon you made for her. It's really

Oh, the poignancy and regret at the beginning was hard to read, but then the end more than made up for it. Bruce is persuasive, but Clark seems to have a pretty convincing technique, too.
I loved all of the conversation around the meal (which made me hungry, even though its almost midnight, here), and I liked the wreath and learning some of the past history with Lex and Bruce.

Convincing is right! ;)

Anyway, it was a delightful story.
Thank you, m'dear! I find it easy to write characters around the table, enjoying good food and drink while they talk of inconsequential or Important Things. :)
And my mother loved having a wreath on the door every year. The prettier and glittier, the better! :)
I like the idea of Bruce and Lex knowing each other way back when, especially in SV-verse. :)
Oh wow, this was awesome. I love the image you bring to mind in the descriptions. So colourful.
I felt so bad for Lex. While the others were doing their best to make him feel included, he still felt a little like the outsider. Then the two boys including him in a threesome, oh yeah!

Poor Lex doesn't have a great heap of self-esteem, thanks to Lionel. He can't quite believe his good fortune, but Bruce and Clark will convince him! :)

I swear, if there was a food_bingo challenge, you would win, hands down. I'm so hungry after reading that! (And in more ways than one, WOWSA! XD)

Thanks, Saavi! I think I could do well with a food challenge, indeed. ;)

He hasn't had much self-esteem-building in his life, I'm afraid, but his old/new lovers will change that. :)
