First of all, I have to say, I practically hyperventilated in joy when I saw that you posted a new part to your Heartland series. I've told you a thousand times but I'll say it again: I love this series! It's just so PERFECT. This is the happy ending that I like to imagine Clark and Bruce achieve because they both deserve it.
*beams*
Thank you, luv! It's one of my favorite series, too. :)
Also, I can't help but think that this was a much better Harvest Fair than the one shown on Smallville, lol. I definitely prefer your version!
*laughs*
When I write Smallville 'verse, I have to remember there's always a dark lining behind a silver cloud. ;)
It makes me happy to see Bruce, Dick and the Kents all happy together. Along with Clark (and Alfred), they're just one big happy family! I l laughed Aggie's shock over Bruce's butler. I can imagine people in a place like Smallville would have that kind of a reaction to someone having a butler. :D
Family fics are always fun to write, and the good people of Smallville aren't used to billionaires in their midst (at least in comicsverse). :)
Bruce observing Superman was awesome too. I especially enjoyed that part. It was interesting to see how Superman was so comfortable in the public. The two of them really are opposites, aren't they?
I think that the confidence Clark projects as Superman helps him in the public eye, as he's essentially pretty shy. :)
Bruce was never completely comfortable in the public eye, despite a lifetime of being followed by paparazzi.
That line caught my attention, because Bruce is always so smooth in public, while Clark isn't. Then, when it comes to their alter egos, Batman stays in the shadow and Superman is out there. They really balance one another out, which is why they work together so well.
Yin and yang! :)
But that's a good observation. Clark stays out of the limelight and Bruce is always in it, and Superman is out there while Batman sticks to the shadows.
And the end with them flirting? SO cute. I giggled.
Fantastic job! :D
Thanks, luv! I enjoy the flirting. It just seems to flow naturally between these two. :)
