Preseason (Week 3) St. Louis Rams 36, New England Patriots 35, (2-1) (Thursday, August 26, 2010)

Definitely a mixed bag in Game 3, the most important of the preseason matches. You’re supposed to see your starters play for at least a half and the team should be gearing up for the season in a few weeks.

Things started with a bang when burner Brandon Tate brought the opening kick-off back for 97 yards. The offense started slow but heated up and Tom looked sharp, throwing a 65-yard bomb to Randy Moss, and TDs to TE Ron Grankowski, who was dragging along a defender before shaking loose and scoring. All this despite only having the ball for 16 minutes!

The first-string defense was awful. They couldn’t stop rookie QB Sam Bradford, who couldn’t get a first down two weeks ago! This was the St. Louis Rams, the worst team in the NFL with one win last year, and not predicted to be much better this year. The secondary got burned so much, they were toast. Dreadful, dreadful.

Needless to say Coach Belichick wasn’t happy. Bill looked like he was chewing nails at the post-game press conference. The team was in for it today during film review.

THEY STILL HAVE NO PASS RUSH!!!
