<3! Yay for Batman saving the day, but ;_; that they both went through it. I'm glad Steve came back to her though, they need each other.

Yes, poor Bruce!

I'm glad Steve came back to her though, they need each other.

Very much so! :)

Thanks for reading and commenting, Dinah! :)

Oh, what a lovely ending! Bruce was excellent here, and I'm pleased Steve and Diana got their happy ending. THey have a LOT to work through still, but they'll get there.

A wonderful story and a perfect ending.

Thank you! After all the angst, I thought they deserved some hope. :)

The curtains were blue-checked gingham, the teakettle shiny copper, and he wished he could stop feeling like he was fragmenting into a million pieces of shattered glass, the shards jagged and bleeding.

That's a really powerful line, how Steve is struggling to focus on all the mundane details to keep himself from tipping right over the edge. I loved how Bruce was there for him, it worked really well here.

Thank you, Mithen! It's typical of people struggling with great pain to try and focus on the mundane to try and keep them grounded.

*nods*

I wanted to draw the parallel between the two couples: the all-powerful partners feeling helpless while their mortal lovers were in so much pain, but they're all strong enough to get through this.

It took me days after reading this to comment. This whole series was so visceral to me, so gut-wrenching and raw. You served up Steve’s emotions like a million dollar plate of Kobe beef tartar showcasing his strength and vulnerability. But you didn’t stop there, no you also showed the devastation rape has on the survivor’s partner, made worse by that partner, Wonder Woman (and Superman) being a super powered being. So strong yet unable to protect their all too human lovers.
I was so happy to see you give Steve and Diana friends who have been there and done that and made it through to the other side.
Thank you for sharing such a powerful fic.

It would tear them up.

Both couples have a lot in common.

I actually debated on opening this chapter for a minute because I don't want it to be over.

I totally lol'd trying to picture anyone offering Bruce tea while in costume. or him drinking it. tee-hee.
D: Bruce <3 Oh now I just want to hug everyone. At least you'll be able to help Steve see that he can't do this alone.
Is it totally awful of me that I now want a story about Bruce and his journey into adjusting? Because I imagined he'd push Clark away much harder and much faster than Steven did Diana. It would only make his far of getting lose to people worse. And now I'm just rambling, apologies.

Clark does make everyone feel a bit better.
And yay for Steve going to Diana! :D He'll be able to heal now.

Heh! There's a great icon floating around out there of Bruce and Clark drinking coffee in costume, though Bruce's cowl and gloves are off, too. :)

He would definitely push Clark away harder and faster than Steve did Diana! And he would be far more difficult to get through to.

Clark does make everyone feel a bit better.

He does! :)

Yes! :)
