You wrapped this chapter up very neatly - I can feel how lonely and sad poor Mel is in the beginning - he's lost everything that he once thought was important because of Dillinger. You would think that he'd push him away when Johnny finally returned. But then they're in love, and love isn't logical. :)

Gotta say I'm happy you killed Billie :D Eeh I feel pretty cruel to say so but I don't like her that much.
Oh, I like her, but sometimes I just want to write the boys together. :)
I kinda hoped sad ending for this fic but then again.. I'm so happy for Melvin cuz he was so lonely plus our boys are so cute together I'm not really complaining! :D
You're right, sometimes sad is better, but this one said 'happy' to me. :)
And btw, extra points for the poems at the beginning of every chapter; they are awesome, especially the last one was perfect.
