I've just started watching Smallville and dear god the slash is so in your face.

Isn't it? It's a fantastic relationship! Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum have great chemistry! And MR portrays Lex with nuances that make him a wonderful character, different from comics or movies. :)

But I've been having a hard time finding fic and then lo and behold I stumble upon this. You Are Awesome.

Exactly! You can see real goodness in him. It's easy to write fic where he doesn't go down the dark path. :)
