Week 5: New England Patriots 30, San Francisco 49ers 21 (3-1) (Sunday, October 5, 2008)

Whew! A win! :)

Things started out rocky with QB Matt Cassel ending up with 2 INTs, but eventually things settled down, probably jump-started by Matt's long bomb to Randy Moss for a touchdown. It was a great play!

RB Kevin Faulk and WR Wes Welker had outstanding days, and 'old man' Rodney Harrison made a key interception.

The Patriots gathered steam and dominated in all areas of the game, everyone lightyears better than two weeks ago against Miami.

San Diego got beat by Miami today, so it's looking better for the Sunday Night Game against them next week! The Pats stay out West for the week instead of flying back-and-forth across the country.

Good win, much needed, and hopefully the start of a roll! :)
