HAHA!

I really love the feel of this piece.

Thank you, Pervy! :)

This whole story was pretty much a mood piece for me as I tried to evoke a bygone era and seeing it through our current-day prism. It was a lot of fun to write! :)

And I love Diana as being part of the military and politics. LOL. So true. *G*

*grins*

She's very qualified in both fields! ;)

“Lurene, why do you say times are better now…but not completely?” Diana asked.

It was interesting to see Diana trying to understand what Lurene meant. One would think that progress only involves improvement, but you tend to get both good and bad with change.

Lovely chapter...made me think! =)

It seems we always lose something when progress is made. Greater freedom of expression means a cruder, less civil society, but then certain groups have made great strides for equality, too. It's a shame we can't have a more civil and polite society and the freedom, too.

Lovely chapter...made me think! =)

Thank you, and glad you have food for thought! :)

Awwwww... ^_^

The comment about women not being allowed to drive, and it limiting them and making them dependent on their husbands? That's my parents. My mom gave up driving in the 70's, partially b/c my dad was a jerk about it, and ever since then she's been dependent on him for *everything*. O_o Horrible example for me growing up, but the second I could get my license I did, and got the heck out of there. O_O

*ahem*

Sorry, TMI. :p

This was an adorable chapter. :)

Sorry to hear that about your mom, Saavi! :(

My mom got her license as soon as she could, but she had good role models. Her mother drove, and my dad's mom did, too. My mom's family moved next door to Dad's when he was in Korea, and she met him when he was home on leave. :) So she observed his family quite a bit! :)

My dad expected my mom to drive. His generation was used to it. :)

No problem! :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
