Week 3: Miami Dolphins 38, New England Patriots 13 (2-1) (Sunday, September 21, 2008)
Stink, stank, stunk!
Nothing much to say except that the team put forth a poor effort overall. Matt Cassel was disappointing at times, but frankly, he was let down by his O-line and receivers more often than not.
Special teams was a bright spot, with big returns in the kicking game and field goals perfect down the middle.
The defense?
Awful, just awful! They couldn't stop Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams to save their lives. They looked disinterested and incapable. Bleah.
The 21-game regular season winning streak is over.
Well, it's better to have a win for the bye week than not, but that's what we've got. Am I worried? Nah. If they play like this after the bye week, I'll worry. Until then, I think they bought into the hype of them being so much better than the woeful Dolphins a little too much and mailed it in.
Miss you, Tommy! ;)
