*nods*

I think he's known it, but now he's willing to admit it to himself and his family. :)

*BEAMS*

Bruce is a good man. Clark, Dick and Alfred are very lucky. I'm having fun watching the progression of the abolition efforts and Bruce's own choices.

Looking forward to the next part!

DC tries to make him a mini-Batman but it'll never work!

Bruce is a good man. Its a tough spot he finds himself in, really, but he's helping in any way he can.

Very true!

Now, since I didn't read the first 'Rainbow' arc, please forgive this question if it is foolish and it was covered in the first arc...

And why aren't you reading the previous arcs, Missy? ;) *teases*

Can Bruce not free his slaves, declaring them freemen as slave-owners did prior to the Civil War? Must declaring himself in favor of abolition result in selling his slaves instead of freeing them? Or is there no such status in the 'Rainbow' universe as a freed slave?Very good question! It has been covered, and what the rules are is that on Earth, born a slave, always a slave. Any Master who frees his slaves is foolish, because the Government classifies the slaves as runaways and the punishment is torture and death for runaways ( ... )

*blushes* Well... you know my bias *cough*Bruce/Dick*cough*, and I'm not really a fan of the Bruce/Clark pairing, so I tend not to read it.

I know. Just teasing. ;)

I've never been able to countenance the behavior of those who dislike certain pairings who read the fics, then comment to the author how they hate the pairing. Honestly... how rude. If I don't like a pairing, I just don't read it. Makes sense to me. I'm perfectly aware that there is a good-size Bruce/Clark fandom, and if that's what floats that boat, more power to them, write on! I say... its just not for me.

Excellent attitude. I feel the same way! :)

All Human slaves are divided into slave and free, and the status doesn't change.

Ah... ok, I understand, then, Bruce's fear and inability to "free" his slaves, for they would never be free, but resold to someone who certainly wouldn't care for them the way Bruce does.Yeah, I built it in so that he couldn't free his slaves. ;) But that makes the whole ( ... )
