Can Bruce not free his slaves, declaring them freemen as slave-owners did prior to the Civil War? Must declaring himself in favor of abolition result in selling his slaves instead of freeing them? Or is there no such status in the 'Rainbow' universe as a freed slave?Very good question! It has been covered, and what the rules are is that on Earth, born a slave, always a slave. Any Master who frees his slaves is foolish, because the Government classifies the slaves as runaways and the punishment is torture and death for runaways ( ... )

*blushes* Well... you know my bias *cough*Bruce/Dick*cough*, and I'm not really a fan of the Bruce/Clark pairing, so I tend not to read it.
I know. Just teasing. ;)
I've never been able to countenance the behavior of those who dislike certain pairings who read the fics, then comment to the author how they hate the pairing. Honestly... how rude. If I don't like a pairing, I just don't read it. Makes sense to me. I'm perfectly aware that there is a good-size Bruce/Clark fandom, and if that's what floats that boat, more power to them, write on! I say... its just not for me.
