Oh, poor Clark! Watching all of this from his POV is excruciating...for all his reluctance to come out, once he was out I think Bruce would be much more likely to shrug everything off.

Reverend Wertham...*loves you for that*

Perry shook his head. “No, because from now on, Superman and Batman are intertwined.” Clark dropped his
pencil again and hid his burning face.

Aw, poor Clark again! This story actually gives some very good reasons why they wouldn't want to go public...

Oh, and I loved Ollie's cheerful offer to come kick bigot tail. *grin*

Looking forward to more!

Well, we'll see Bruce's reaction in the next chapter. :)

LOL! I couldn't resist with the 'good' Dr. Wertham.

Yep, I'd say there are a lot of reasons to stay in the closet. But they're out now, so we'll see how they both handle it.

Ollie's a doll. I had the comicsverse Ollie in my head for this one, though I'm sure Smallville Ollie would have offered the same sentiments, perhaps a bit more urbanely. ;)

I'll polish Chapter Two and get that out as soon as I can, m'dear!

Oh! I love this. It's such an interesting concept for a S/B fic. How would the world take them coming out together? It's really fun to see it all from Clark's perspective. I giggled at his blushy face during the meeting. "Intertwined" indeed!

The reactions all came across as very real in this, which is a nice change from so much slash fic where either everyone is hateful, or everyone doesn't care. The various media anchors you put in was a cool way to show the general thoughts of the world.

I can't wait to see what you have in store for us with the rest of this. You've already got me wondering about a bunch of different things, and all the possibilities you created with this.

This was a great, really fun read.

Thanks, Mimi! I always am interested in how our slash couples can cope with the 'real world' problems they might encounter.

Yes, I thought a mixed bag of reactions would be a nice change of pace. I enjoy both kinds of fic that you mentioned, but I wanted to add a touch of realism and most people would be divided in their acceptance/disapproval. And it might surprise you as to who professes which stance.

I have three more chapters for this particular installment, so there's plenty to come! :)

Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Holey Moley!

I'm sorry that I haven't been commenting but I think this is an interesting idea, how are Bats and Supes going to deal with the aftermath of such an announcement but in their case they have the alter egos to fall back on or will that be disrupted too?

Oh, I said holey moley because I have story in my universe (which is half done) that will effect Bruce and Clark relationship rather than the hero side of things, in a similar fashion with one of Bruce's competitors being not so subtle and very arrogant...

Why does Supes and Bats sound like soup and nuts?

Glad you like it, Scotchsour! :)

It's certainly an interesting question. They'll have to be extra careful about meeting now as Clark and Bruce, that's for sure.

Your story sounds very interesting! I'll be eager to read it.

LOL! Alliteration! ;)

Glad you liked it, Merfilly! :)

Perry's a great character. Old warhorses get the job done!
