Game 2: Boston Celtics 108, Los Angeles Lakers 102 (2-0) (Sunday, June 8, 2008)
Well, Game 2 at the Gah-den was exciting! :)
In the first half the Celtics were more dominant but still hadn't pulled away to any commanding degree. That would occur in the third quarter when at one point they had a 20-point lead on the Lakers. Their defense was dominant and Leon Powe, a player off the bench, had the game of his life with 21 points in 15 minutes. He also took more free throws than the entire Lakers team! :)
The Celtics let down late in the fourth quarter, however, and let the Lakers get to within 2 points with about 30 seconds left! Fortunately they held them off and hopefully learned a valuable lesson!
Game 3 is tonight at the Staples Center in L.A.
