This weekend is my Do Nothing Weekend. Okay, I have to do some chores, but nothing too complicated. :) But I woke up after sleeping late this morning, exercised, ate breakfast, and then plunked myself down in front of the TV after loading the laundry and wrote in my Superman notebook (heh heh) as I watched The Legion of Super Heroes and Batman, then went to the deli for a meatball-and-sausage grinder and penne pasta salad with celery, dill, and shredded carrots. I read some pages from my book Moving The Chains: Tom Brady and the Pursuit of Everything, and listened to the excitement on the local sports talk radio station about the Patriots making a big splash in free agency by signing *the* gem of the free agency class, Adalius Thomas, a versatile linebacker who can play five positions (whoo hoo!) and is hungry for a Super Bowl ring. I intend to do nothing but read the Sunday paper for most of the day tomorrow after I walk up to the corner to get it. Next weekend I might venture out to the St. Patrick's Day Parade and plan some hearty partying for the actual day. It's a state holiday here (I kid you not!). :) Well, okay, it's really Evacuation Day but it falls on the 17th of March, and people party for the Irish part, not the Evac. :) I finally got around to dusting off the old Clex fic I had sitting around in my head (the actual file got corrupted, curses! and I usually back these things up, too, but the one time you don't...) and have been working on it tonight as I peruse my flist and probably fritter away time as I surf. :) Oh, yeah, and I clicked on the TV and the "Space Seed" episode of Classic TREK was playing so I watched it, reminding myself of why I fell in love with this show all those years ago in the first place.
