Promises & Legacies (LSH) (December 1, 2007)

Legion Of Super Heroes (Episode 8) (December 1, 2007) The Batman was a repeat today.

Kandor was the star today.  Clark ended up in the Bottle City after he and the Legion ended up in his Fortress.  Imperius was in there, too, looking for a gadget (The Messenger) that Jor-El had designed that kept Krypton from exploding.  When Brainiac 1 shrunk Kandor, taking The Messenger with it (it was based in the city), Krypton exploded.  When Clark learned that Brainy was descended from ‘The Terror’ (Brainiac 1), he was furious, fueled by his lack of powers and his unfulfilled promise to reverse the shrinking process.

It was an episode filled with adventure and conflict, and Brainy ultimately saved the day by changing Kandor’s red sun to yellow and empowering the entire population of two million people!

Clark and Brainy made up, and the technology that Brainy had learned from his predecessor enabled them to form a New Krypton and reverse the shrinking process, allowing the Kandorians to be normal size again.

I loved the touch of Shrinking Violet being a giant in Kandor.  ;)

Clark was excited about fulfilling his centuries-old promise, but Brainy wiped his memory because of the ol’ timestream thing.

But it was one of the better episodes of the season.   I especially liked Clark being the inspiration for the Kandorians to live exemplary lives even while trapped in the bottle.
