Another good episode! I loved that it was set during the 1893 Chicago Columbian Exposition, and did wonder if they were going to mention the 'Murder Castle'. They not only mentioned it, it was a focus of the episode! America's first notorious serial killer, H.H. Holmes, had built a hotel with secret rooms and a dungeon for torture and disposal of his numerous victims. Within the show, Wyatt and Rufus were trapped in the hotel while Lucy was held captive by Garcia Flynn and forced to help him kill Edison and Ford, who were meeting at the Fair. He claims they were both Rittenhouse.
Lucy led Flynn to Harry Houdini, a then-unknown magician and escape artist who was performing at the Exposition to small crowds, though that wouldn't last for long. Harry was co-opted into the scheme via gunpoint and unlocked the door to get into the heavily-guarded meeting room. Sleight-of-hand, though, got both Lucy and Harry out of Flynn's clutches but delivered them to H.H. Holmes' Hotel of Horror. A chilling episode all the way around: Holmes and his madness and Flynn's cold-blooded killing were very much alike.
It was good to see a female architect in 1893, and little touches like the debut of Cracker Jack at the Fair. It's stuff like that that makes me love history. :)
Next week it appears the Trio gets mixed up with Jesse James. Yikes!

Very fast-paced episode. If I was Radcliffe, I'd be thinking of shutting Aida down, or fixing her programming pronto. She's a little too violent right now. And did you catch the look of hurt on her face when he made a sarcastic remark about not killing May? Methinks the good doctor's android is developing feelings, and resentment and guilt might be part of the package. And, geez, May, can't you enjoy a good hot stone massage? ;)
It wasn't too hard to guess the secret of the briefcase for Mace, but he does seem like a genuinely good guy. Coulson came up with a good idea: Mace continues as the face of S.H.I.E.L.D. and handles the politics while he's in charge of Operations.
Oh, Fitz, your obsession with Aida will cause trouble with Jemma, who's jealous as hell of her.
Talbot's a hoot. He gets the best lines and delivers them so well! :) A pity we didn't get to see more scenes of him with Coulson, who riffs off him perfectly.
Both Talbot and Radcliffe are complex characters: Talbot comes across as the typical Cold War blustering general but has shown there's more to him, and Radcliffe is often blinded by his pursuit of science but seems genuinely disturbed (or at least annoyed) by Agent Nathanson's death at the hands of Aida. Probably he's more annoyed, as it led to her destruction, but he doesn't seem okay with his newer LMD's tendency to overkill, shall we say?
LMD May is going to have some difficulty keeping her injury a secret. It's in a place she can't get to herself and she can't ask for help without revealing she's an android. Without Radcliffe allowed on the base, she's going to have improvise and fast!
