Fic Tally (2014)
Here's my breakdown of the stories I wrote in fandom during 2014. As always, it was a labor of love and I had a great time! Thanks to all who read and commented!

I wrote HOW many stories this year? :)
First, a little background:
I joined LJ in October of 2006 (first post in November), and posted my first story, Announcement I: The Ready Room, in December of 2006. It was a Clark/Bruce tale, and the remaining 3 stories for that year were of that pairing as well.
I counted each year’s stories, and broke them down by pairing, which I’ll discuss below the stats. I used the following method: simple counting, but if a multi-chapter story started in one year and ended in the next, I counted the year it began. Time And Place was posted in 2006 and ended in early 2007.
Naturally I counted a pairing if they were the focus of the story, but if they shared equal ‘screen time’ with another couple or couples, that story was also counted as theirs. In some of my multiple pairing stories, several couples could count it as their story ( Strange Brew, The Jig’s Up!, and many others). Ollie/Dinah, for instance, have a number of 8 in the past three years, but only 1 story was written with them as the lead couple. The rest are stories they share with others. So if anyone bothered to total the pairings and the story totals, the pairings would be a higher total than the stories.

*Well, it was a satisfying year for production: 103,791 words and 52 stories for the year (597 since joining LJ). I’ll never match my production of earlier years here on LJ but that is a very good number for the entire year.
For the first time since I joined LJ and started writing DC Comics fic, Clark/Bruce was not the top pairing for me in production. That honor went to Steve/Bucky of Marvel Comics, or more accurately, the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It appears that Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier was very inspiring! It’s like it was made for fandom! What an angstfest! :)
I finished the year with several new Hogan’s Heroes stories. It’s a small fandom of mine that occasionally gets ‘hot’ every now and again, but this time with many stories! :)
I did take part in the dcu-bang again this year with The Raven And The Nightingale Book I: Jeweled Nightingale (Bruce/Dick AU). I have no idea if I’ll participate in another Big Bang this year, but I’ll see what I have as far as ideas go. Right now they are kind of formless. :)
Fanfic pretty much relaxes me so I’ll probably still be writing in 2015 as long as I get decent ideas. I’m working on a long Hogan’s Heroes piece right now that I find very relaxing, and hope to get back to my sequel for The Raven And The Nightingale Book I: Jeweled Nightingale.
Hopefully the year will see plenty of fic and maybe a new fandom or two! Who knows? Though the old ones are usually the best. ;)
