Week 8: New England Patriots 51, Chicago Bears 23 (6-2) (Sunday, October 26, 2014)

Wowza! GREAT game by the Pats as they blew away Da Bears! ;)

Tom threw for 5 touchdowns and 354 yards. Gronk caught 3 TDs and was an absolute beast on the third, dragging the defender with him after avoiding other Bears. Brandon LaFell caught 2 TDs and Tim Wright the other. Rob Ninkovich scored a defensive touchdown. Stephen Gostkowski kicked 2 field goals. The defense came up with takeaways all day.

Not bad for an old, washed-up QB, eh? ;) Tom looked so cute in his Patriots winter cap, LOL!

The offensive line has worked out its issues though there were a few hiccups today. Brady was deadly accurate as he had more than a few seconds to throw. The Bears were clueless and had NO answer for Gronk, who is the best tight end in the NFL.

The Bears dropped to 3-5 and dissension is rife in the locker room. I wonder if they'll melt down more spectacularly in front of the media than last week? :)

The Bears gave up the most points in one half, 38, in their entire history. On the flip side of the coin, Tom threw for 4 TDs in the first half alone for the fifth time in his career, an NFL record.

The Pats went into the locker room at the half up 38-7 and built up the lead to 45-7 before the final score. A lot of the Bears points were scored in garbage time. Today it was Bad Jay Cutler instead of Good at quarterback for Da Bears. :)

Bring on Pouting Peyton! And our scoreboard operator will do as he pleases, Peytie. Manning Face to come! ;)

The Dolphins won and the Bills beat the sorry Jets, so the division looks like this:

NE 6-2
BUFF 5-3
Miami 4-3
NYJ 1-7
