Week 1: Miami Dolphins 33, New England Patriots 20 (0-1) (Sunday, September 7, 2014)

Yay for football season starting! Bummer that for the first time in 11 years, the Pats lost their season opener. :(

The first half went well enough and the Patriots led at the half, 20-10, but never scored again in the second half. The offense was terrible and turned the ball over numerous times, and the defense wasn't much better. Maybe it was the hellacious heat. Anyway, Miami has always been a House of Horrors for New England, partially because of that heat. It had to be close to a hundred degrees down on the field.

Bright spots were Julian Edelman, Gronk, Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley, but even they couldn't save this pathetic offense.

The revamped offensive line was like a sieve. Tom was hit at least twenty times and could barely get set, and fumbled the ball twice. Logan Mankins, where are you?

Lots of mental mistakes, blown coverages, and stupid penalties. They'll sure hear it from the coaches this week! Better get their act together FAST as they play the Vikings in Minnesota next week.

The AFC East standings are really bizarre this week:

BUFF 1-0
MIAMI 1-0
NYJ 1-0
NE 0-1
