Thanks, Cat! It's weird to have all these boxes around and not sure where things are. I'm making progress, though. At least I can walk around the bedroom in little pathways now, LOL! And I've gotten rid of about a dozen boxes and half-a-dozen bags. Still more to go, but literally everything had to be boxed up because you can't move furniture with full drawers.
And the stuff you need! You never realize how much stuff is necessary for modern life: cleaning products, hammer, nails, clocks, lightbulbs, meds, sheets and pillowcases, blankets, a mat at the door to wipe your feet, etc. I have a drying rack for my clothes so that I don't have to spend money on the dryer, just the washing machine.

YES! When we bought that place in Minneapolis, somehow we didn't realize HOW MUCH STUFF it took to stock a place. Until you do it from scratch, you really take it for granted!
So many little details needed! You need dinnerware and glasses and utensils, dish towels and towels to stock the bathroom, cleaning cloths, brooms, scissors, a watering can for the plants, and a zillion other things! Luckily I have most of it already but some things needed to be purchased. I have a handy-dandy Patriots welcome mat so that shoes can be left there and not scuff the new wooden floors. :)
Hey girl! It's nice to see you posting again! I had to respond to this thread because I SO hear you. It is not easy! I'm glad to hear have a Patriots mat :) and you sound really good. Go you!
I'm still working on boxes. I fear that will still be a couple of more weeks. I suppose it could go faster if I spent eight hours a day on them, but no way! :) And it's slow going because I have to find places for the stuff. Some will remain in the storage area in boxes but a lot of things still have to be cleared out.

So true! Moving is *always* a nightmare. I had to do it once when I had bronchitis, and another time when I was in an arm cast recovering from an auto accident - thank God for friends for that second time. And it's always ages before I find my stuff again.
Wow, that's rough moving with a broken arm. I finally found my DVDs yesterday and my Tom Brady jersey! I was so afraid I'd stupidly put it in one of the bags I dropped off for donation. *big sigh of relief*

The fannish stuff will be a snap! ;)
