Week 4: New England Patriots 30, Atlanta Falcons 23 (4-0) (Sunday, September 29, 2013)

Wow, I got so bizzy this week I haven't even had a chance to post the game review from last Sunday! So, the Patriots went into Atlanta expecting a tough fight and they got it. At first the teams struggled with each other and then it looked like the Patriots had the game well in hand, then it started to get away from them with some mistakes. Rookie Zach Sudfeld couldn't handle the on-side kick and was cut yesterday. Whether it was for that and other mistakes, who knows? Foxboro is like the Cold War Kremlin, so we'll never know. ;) Tom and his receivers looked much better.

We did lose Big Vince to a blow-out of his Achilles. He's our second-most important player so this is a big blow. Hopefully other guys can step up but that's a huge hole to fill. And can Vince come back from this injury which is a tricky one and he's a guy who normally weighs almost 400 pounds? He's quick for that size but can his Achilles hold up again? We shall see.

So, the Patriots won, the Dolphins lost, and the Jets and Bills lost. The division looks like this:

NE 4-0
Miami 3-1
BUFF 2-2*
NYJ 2-2

*Note: the Bills played last night kicking off Week 5 so now they are 2-3.

Also, a bad break for former Pats back-up QB Brian Hoyer: he may have a torn ACL from last night's game. Cleveland was doing well with him under center. The Bills might have lost their QB, E.J. Manuel, to injury, too.

Lots of baseball excitement in town with the Red Sox opening against the Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park in Game 1 of the American League Division Series.
