(Pre-season) Week 1: New England Patriots 31, Philadelphia Eagles 22 (1-0) (Friday, August 9, 2013)

Hi, luvs! The Pats played the Eagles last Friday and won. Now, since it's pre-season, meh. :) But the important thing is that Tom looked sharp with his brand-new receivers, many of whom are rookies, and the running game looks really good. LeGarrett Blount really made his case to make the team with his speed and escapability.

Second-string QB Ryan Mallett ended up with a head injury so Tim Tebow was sent in. Tebow might be able to run and make things happen, but he can't throw worth a damn. If he could throw, he'd have been signed by some team in the off-season long before the Patriots picked him up.

The defense had some good plays but it looks like it might be the ol' give-up-a-ton-of-yards again, but as long as they are stout in the Red Zone, meh.

Lots of work to be done but not bad for a first pre-season game.

Tom looked great, as always. He's got a super-short haircut this year unlike a few years ago when he wore his hair extra-long. I like both ways. He's gorgeous no matter what! ;)
