You know what I really loved about this story? I think that the Pepper/Tony romance was actually maturely handled and is probably one of the better-handled live action superhero romances in terms of them actually dealing with some adult issues without forced drama as well as them allowing the woman to be more than just the damsel in distress/reward for the hero being a hero.
Needless to say, I loved seeing Pepper kick ass toward the end. And this is coming from me not being a fan of the way GP portrayed Pepper in the first movie.
I actually loved the whole movie to bits and pieces. It was a lot of fun, but they actually had a decent amount of character focus and even a bit of realism in terms of dealing with Tony's PTSD after his near-death experience in the Avengers.
To be honest, the Christmas timing of the movie confused the hell out of me since it was a spring release. It took me out of the story to the point where I was asking myself why they chose to set the movie at Christmas time and I got distracted by wondering if they were originally shooting for a November release and pushed it back. Which is silly and probably my own issue more than anything else.

Excellent points! I enjoyed the romance and Pepper kicking ass was one of the highlights of the film for me. :)

Yes! Though I thought they might flash back more to Afghanistan, but I guess they decided one problem at at time. :)

It was a a little weird, like Christmas-in-July, but it was kinda cool, too. Quirky is Marvel and Iron Man, so it fit. ;)
